Float
boats look like a paddle wheeler, with three, or more Hot air balloons
in place
of sails.
Shape
shifters cannot look you in the directly in the eye.
Standing water (Stagnant, non-flowing water, such as ponds, swamps, etc…), are dangerous, as they are often the home of will O’ the wisps, Graphlonnie, shape shifters, and other unsavoury sorts.
Cultural
Technological Levels:
Hunter-Gatherer The culture is
a nomadic one, following game, as the game
migrates. They have no towns, or
sophisticated
advances. They do not read or write.
Agrarian The
culture has mastered the art of cultivating land, and pasture. Has settled into towns and cities, and has
begun the process of become civilized.
Writing is at the Hieroglyphic stage.
Iron Age The true beginnings of
civilization, smelting, and the creation of items is now possible. Reading and writing are developed. Advanced building methods, utilising mortar,
and cut stone is now possible.
Age of Mage The civilization has
mastered the concepts of Cabalism, Astrology, Runes, Circles, and
Ritual. They are at the philosophical
height of
civilization.
Industrial Age Semi-complex machinery is possible, such as steam engines, paddle wheels, pumps, and plumbing.
Antollaf Look like Yoda. Tech level: Industrial, though it is purely theoretical.
Aviare Look like Scandinavian’s, but have a culture
similar
to the Aztecs. Aviare have no ships of
their own, not even fishing boats, but they do have three 2 (Masted)
Float
Boats. Tech level: Early
Industrial.
Delffi Are similar in
appearance to the Armenians, they wear armours in the AT: 7 to 10
range, and
their preferred weapon is the Boar spear, and the Long bow. The Delffi are unsophisticated and are often
viewed as not being terribly bright by other cultures.
They are currently allied with the Jer-ang
Gynarchy, and both their men and women are allowed to fight. Tech level: Iron Age
Cindars Look like Frenchmen, but have a culture like
the
Roma (Gypsy’s). Common weapon is the
Falchion, armour is AT: 8, shield is Normal (round), or Buckler, their
bows are
Recurve, and the Cindar war style is like the Mongols.
They are the best horsemen in Ang Wold. Tech level: Late Age of Mage
Jer-Ang Look like Germans, but have a Amazonian
culture. They are narcissistic and very war-like. Their
most common weapons are the Spear, the Staff, the Javelin,
and the Morning star. The women go to
war in Chariots, use great essence magic’s in battle, and wear armours
ranging
from AT: 9 to 12, depending on status.
They use no shields, but sometimes in the three person chariots,
they
will have a male shield bearer, carrying a Wall shield (Scutum). Tech level: Mid
Age of Mage
Ni-kie Enjoy pain, and are consummate sado-masochists, they believe that the more pain they endure in this life the greater their reward in the next. They revere their own torture victims almost like saints, and with perhaps a tinge of envy. Ni-kie culture is very Gothic, and many Ni-kie have prolonged their misery by becoming Vampiric, or Litch. Armour types are AT: 3 or 4, weapons of choice are the Broad sword, and Two Handed sword. The Ni-kie use Bucklers if they use any shield at all. Tech level: Early Age of Mage
Nundanni Look like Egyptians, or Turks, but have a
culture like the Arabs, though
not as religious.
Preferred weapon is the Scimitar, they don’t wear armour, but will occasionally use Short bows. Tech level: Early Industrial, but has bypassed the Age of Mage.
Oso Are chauvinistic, and consider men from the
Jer-Ang Gynarchy, and the
Enshroudment of the Veil to be weak and effeminate.. The rest of the
world
considers the Oso to be pompous and over zealous fanatics. Common
weapon is the
Bastard Sword, or Pike, their armour is generally Plate;
AT: 17 with Full shields (Kite). Oso
always fight as infantry and usually in
box formation, or the tortoise. Tech
level: Early Age of Mage
Phros Look like giant, bi-pedal, racoons. Chief weapons are the Sling, or Bola. Tech level: Hunter- Gatherer.
Ro-anic Look and act like
Romans.
They will wear any armour type, but their weapon is the Short sword
(Gladius
Hispanicus), and the Short bow, or Crossbow. Tech level: Late-Industrial,
but has bypassed the Age of Mage.
Shadars Look like giant butterflies, and have a
culture
similar to the Pueblo Indians. Tech
level: Mid Agrarian.
Shlamassou Look like big flat faced teddy bears. Chief weapon is the Staff. Tech level: Hunter- Gatherer.
Sonnians Look like Polynesians, with a closely related culture. They have no concept of personal possessions, yours, or theirs. Tech level: Early Agrarian.
Zettyra Look like horses, with sabre teeth, but have higher shoulders than hips, like the Hyena. Like Zebras they are not easily domesticated, as they are highly intelligent. Tech level: Early Agrarian, but maintain a Hunter-Gatherer life style.
