In A Bottle Campaign, whereby we reach out to all peoples of the
word to find
common ground.
You
may use any
glass beer bottle, of any size, preferably using
amber-brown coloured glass that is easily visible once it washes
ashore. Clean the bottle, inside and out with non toxic soap and
water, removing the beer label and drying it thoroughly prior to
inserting the peace poem inside. Please send us a copy of your
poem,
prior to its release into the ocean, and afterwards, a photo of you
with your bottle at the time of its release, along with a short,
personal biography of who you are (methods of sending this to us are
included below).
The
poem may be written in any style except erotica, be any length that
will fit on one page (with the blurb included), on acid based paper and
in any language. In fact you are encouraged to write in languages other
than English, if you are able to. Once the poem is inside, please
seal
the bottle with cork from on old wine bottle. We wish to have as
little impact on the world's fragile ecosystem as possible. The
poem's
contents should centre around the oneness of mankind, our common bond
with each other, regardless of nationality, religion, or ethnic origin
and penned with Love and Compassion for your fellow man.
At the bottom of
your poem, please include the following blurb:
"You have received a Poem for Peace, sent from
(place point of
origin here, i.e. Perth, Australia, and if you can, time and date
it is
sent on its journey). If you have opened and read the poem
included,
please contact us to let us know you have received this important
message connecting the people of the world in common cause and
compassion in one of the following ways.
Peace has no age
limit, no education level and no nation."
We are
currently looking to affiliate this initiative for peace with various
other reputable groups within the Government of Canada and the United
Nations. Likewise, if you are part of another poetry group that
